Wow, it feels like absolutely forever since I last updated my blog!
Where have I been you say?
Well, in the midst of various occasions including my 25th Birthday, I have been interning at a London based fashion label called The Rodnik Band.
For those of you who are not familiar with the brand, the company is very much influenced and inspired by the developments in the modern art world, in particular the work of Marcel Duchamp, Andy Warhol and the Pop Art Movement. I guess the label is presented as a band rather than a traditional Fashion Label and represents a combination of music, art and Fashion.
Further, having completed the internship I take away valuable industry experience with me, for instance I've gained experience in various sectors including, sketching technical fashion illustrations for the fashion week presentation, which I also attended. Assisting in the Model Casting Process (Excitement), supporting the Art Director in Production Design, and also liaising with fellow colleagues about potential ideas and trends for the Spring/Summer 2011 Collection.
Having enjoyed my time at The Rodnik Band, I hope to be starting another Internship fairly soon which is aimed more towards Footwear Design this time. However, I shall keep you posted as to any advancements which may arise. As well as the latest design, I have included numerous pictures which I took during my time at The Rodnik Band.
Onwards and Upwards Friends…….My Dream Job is getting closer……..I can smell it!!! Haha…
